Creating a Gig
A “Gig” is the service you give and sell in the marketplace. Your Gig is an opportunity to show off your skills to potential consumers and provide them with all the information they need to make an informed decision about placing an order.
Note: You can only establish a seller account and Gigs from a desktop computer.
Log in > Switch to Selling > Gigs
Click My Profile > Create a New Gig
Step 1: Gig overview
Make sure your title is brief, concise, and to the point. Buyers should be able to recognize the sort of service you provide right away.
Start with “I shall…” with the aid of Fiverr.
From the drop-down menu, choose the proper category and subcategory for your Gig. These are the ones that Fiverr suggest depending on your title.
You won’t be able to modify your Gig category once it’s been published, so pick well and make sure it suits the services you’re offering.
Gaming is not a subcategory. However, if you provide gaming-related services, choose a gaming-related category (or define the criteria in the Gig Metadata area further down).
Select Graphics & Design > Game Design, for example, if your service is Game Design.
Type of Services
To ensure that you appear in the search results for the category you selected, pick a service type.
This is only accessible for a limited number of categories.
Choose the appropriate criteria for each topic.
Note: This is only available for specific categories.
Save & Continue after adding 1 to 5 words or phrases that best represent your Gig.
Step 2: Scope and pricing
Name your package
In the space provided, describe the specifics of your offering.
Please select the number of days it will take you to complete your Gig from the drop-down menu.
Choose the things you’d want to include in your service (Extras). This is determined by the sort of service you provide.
If you provide logo design services, for example, you may choose from various choices such as the amount of logos to include, the source files, or a high-resolution file.
Select the number of revisions you want to include in your Gig from the drop-down menu. This isn’t required, but it’s a good idea for Gigs that require customization or creation.
Choose a price for your service that ranges from $5 to the maximum price for the Gig type.
Note: In some categories, you can create three packages by clicking 3 Packages or Trying Now. When clients reach the checkout page after purchasing three packages, your personalized supplementary services will be offered to them.
Exception: Different pricing structures apply to Voice Over Gigs; watch this video to learn more.
You can choose to deliver your Gig ExtraFast and charge extra for it.
To enable ExtraFast delivery, follow these steps:
extra fast delivery > My Gig Extras
Give an estimate of how long it will take you to deliver.
Make a note of how much more you’ll charge.
If you choose Extra quick delivery, the number of days specified for extra fast delivery cancels out the period specified in your extra services. The delivery time must be shorter than the standard Gig’s delivery time. You may add on more services to your Gig that the customer can purchase throughout the order process. These fields are not required.
Extras to provide:
My Gig Extras > Select from the list of items.
Click Add Gig Extra > Complete a title (mandatory), description, amount, and how long it will take you.
Step 3: Description and FAQs
Describe your Gig in a few words (up to 1,200 characters). Make your Gig as thorough as so that customers can judge if it suits their needs. For example, only use URLs from Fiverr’s authorized list when adding a URL and never include contact information.
Most Commonly Asked Questions
Fill in the blanks with answers to the most frequently requested questions (limit of 8 FAQs). Then, on your Gig page, you’ll find your FAQs.
Click Add FAQ > Add a question you think buyers may ask > Give your answer.
Click Add > finished adding your FAQs > Continue & Save
Step 4: Requirements
You may use free text, a multiple-choice question, or a file upload to notify the customer of what you need to start the order.
Fill up the blanks with the specifics of your request.
Type of response
Choose from the following options: Free Text, Multiple Answers, or Attached File.
Note that if you choose Multiple Answer, answer fields will appear. Fill in the blanks for the multiple-choice responses that customers must choose from. You also have the option of allowing several responses.
If you need the buyer to supply the information, check the box that says “Answer is required.”
Select Add from the drop-down menu.
Click Save & Continue after you’ve done establishing your buyer requirements.
STEP 5: Gallery
Images from the Gig
Drag a picture or use the Browse button to find and pick an image.
Up to three photographs that define or connect to your Gig can be uploaded.
Photographs can be used as examples of your work.
Image size should be 1280 x 769 pixels, with a minimum of 712 x 430 pixels and a maximum of 4000 x 2416 pixels (at 72 DPI).
If you’re using a Mac, utilize Preview to resize photos. Use Photo Gallery on Windows. Other free tools may be found on the internet.
To be published, gigs must include at least one photograph.
You should be the owner of the image. Your Gig will not be authorized if you utilize copyrighted photos or photographs downloaded from the internet.
In our Gig picture guide, you can learn more.
Video of a performance
Drag a movie or use the Browse button to find and pick a video.
This field is required for the Video & Animation category; however, it is optional for all other categories.
Make sure your movie is no more than 75 seconds long and less than 50 megabytes in size.
It’s a good idea to highlight that your services are only available on Fiverr.
When you add a video to the marketplace, it will be utilized as the thumbnail instead of Gig photos.
Never provide your contact information in the video promoting your Gig.
Audio from the show
Drag an audio file or use the Browse button to find and pick a file.
This choice isn’t accessible in every category.
MP3 and MPEG have supported formats. Make sure your audio isn’t more than 3:30 minutes in length and less than 10 MB in size.
Drag a PDF or use the Browse button to find and pick a PDF.
You have the option of uploading up to two PDF files.
This field is not required. The first three pages of your PDF will be shown.
After you’ve finished steps 1 through 5, click Save & Continue.
STEP 6: Publish
Select Publish Gig from the drop-down menu.
Check out the many social media platforms where you may market your Gig. Click an icon and fill out the form to advertise your Gig.
After that, click Done.
If your Gig includes a video, it will be marked as pending until the video is evaluated. Your Gig will be branded Active if it does not have a video.
To make changes to a gig, follow these steps:
Log in and select Gigs from the Selling menu.
Locate the Gig you want to change > Edit from the right-hand drop-down menu
Make the necessary adjustments > Save.
